Travis Kvapil was born on March 1st, 1976 in Janesville, Wisconsin and is a NASCAR driver in the Sprint Cup Series operating the #34 #37 and #38 Long John Silverís car driving for Front Row Motorsports. He grew up around cars, working on them in his fatherís garage. He would start racing at the age of 16 in the Weekly Series (NASCAR) and was named Rookie of the Year in 1995 in the Super Late Model division of the series. Kvapilís highest achievements are winning the Craftsman Truck Series Rookie of the Year in 2001 and the Craftsman Truck Series championship just two years later. His overall totals in NASCARís truck series, now the Camping World Truck Series, include 9 wins, 82 top ten finishes, and 4 pole positions. His Sprint Cup Series stats are a little weaker, totaling 6 top ten finishes and 1 pole position. In 2005 Travis came to the Sprint Cup Series for Roger Penske. He would then race for PPI Motorsports in 2006 due to the closing of the Penske garage. After his run with PPI, Travis would go back to the Camping World Truck Series in 2007 for Roush Fenway Racing earning Roush 4 wins, eight top 5 finishes, 12 top ten finishes and three poles finishing 6th in the series. After racing for Yates in 2009 he was offered a spot for Front Row Motorsports driving the #34 Long John Silverís car.
