NASCAR - IRL - MOTOCROSS - OTHER RACING EVENTS

Scott Speed was born on January 24th, 1983 in Manteca, California and is a race car driver in NASCARís Sprint Cup Series for Red Bull Racing Team in the #82 Red Bull Toyota Camry. He started his racing career at the age of ten, winning many races and titles. Growing through the sport and the ranks he established himself as a force to be reckoned with in racing. From karting, speed went to Formula to compete in the US Formula Russell. He won a championship there and continued competing in Formula races. He gave the US Barber Formula Dodge and the US Star Mazda Series a go but did not win the titles in either series. In 2004, Scott dominated the Formula Renault 2000 Eurocup and the German Formula Renault. From 2005 to 2007 he would continue dominating Formula One and gain a spot on the Red Bull racing team. Speed moved into the ARCA/REMAX Series to prepare for his jump into NASCAR due to the difference in racing styles. The year 2008 was looking promising for this fresh face in racing with ten top five finishes, 18 top ten finishes, and four wins in the series heading into the championships. Unfortunately he did not get the chance to finish competition due to retaliation on fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. who sent Speed into the wall during a race. Today, Speed continues to race for Red Bull with his eye on the prize. This young driver hasnít seen any wins in the Sprint Cup or Nationwide Series as of yet, but he has one win in the Camping World Truck Series, which he won on just his fourth start in the series.
