NASCAR - IRL - MOTOCROSS - OTHER RACING EVENTS

Born on August 4th, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kurt Busch was destined to be a race car driver from the beginning but before racing, Kurt aspired to go to school for a career in the Pharmacy industry. He began driving go-karts at the early age of 6 years old. He competed in Dwarf cars until he was 18 when his father purchased a bigger, more powerful car for his son. Kurt showed his father he was able to handle the challenge when he won 10 races in a row on different tracks, which is a feat upon itself. In his career, Kurt has won such titles as IROC Champion in 2003, Nextel Cup Champion in 2004, winner of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race XXVI, and has sported the title of Rookie of the Year in the 2000 Craftsman Truck Series. Kurt Busch has had his share of problems with other drivers on the track, getting spun into walls wrecking his vehicle. He was voted 3rd in GQ Magazine’s Most Hated Athletes of 2006. His main rivalry was with Tony Stewart, having several incidents with him. He has also had problems with Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Robby Gordon, and Greg Biffle. Most of his problems include crashes and bumps on the course but a gesture to Tony Stewart in on pit road put him on probation for the rest of the 2007 season as well as being fined money and points.
