KSU or Kansas State University fields the Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference’s North Division. They are currently coached by longtime employee, Bill Snyder, with an impressive one hundred and forty-two wins, seventy-four losses, and one tie. Their home games are played at the Bill Snyder Family Stadium, named after the coach for his amazing work with the team over the years. The Stadium can seat a little over fifty-two thousand fans comfortably in Manhattan, Kansas. Despite Snyder’s recent turnaround of the team, they are still in a substantial hole with their all-time record noting four hundred and fifty-nine wins, six hundred and four losses, and forty-one ties showing a .434 win ratio. They are fairing much better in bowl games they reach though, with only a one loss deficit in thirteen appearances. They have won five conference titles in 1909, 1910, 1912, 1934, and 2003 and forwarded eleven Consensus All-American Players. Bill Snyder has been part of the school’s upswing twice. He first took over the athletics program in 1988 and broke the school’s twenty-seven consecutive losses with a seven win and four loss season. Almost a century into the school’s history, 1993, they saw their first bowl victory since their formation in 1896 under Snyder. They went on to win multiple bowl games and he was awarded several coaching awards for his work at the school. Upon his retirement in 2005, the school honored him by officially renaming the KSU stadium after the greatest coach in the school’s history. With a short run after Snyder, the school decided to let Ron Prince go, and in 2008, Snyder returned and instantly pulled off a six-six season with Prince’s team.
