Every member of Kings of Leon is related, and they all go by their middle names. Caleb Followill is lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Nathan is percussion and backing vocals, Matthew is lead guitar and back vocals, and Jared is bass guitar and backing vocals. The band, while only recently popular in the United States has gained international success since their first album. Starting with their southern or arena rock sound, the British audience pushed nine of their songs to the British Top Forty. Their albums all made the top five in United Kingdom Charts, with Because of the Times actually reaching the top spot. Only by the Night was their first album where they had success in their native United States where the album went platinum. It sold extremely well in Australia though going as far as nine-times platinum. Since their formation, the Kings of Leon have released five albums titled Youth and Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak, Because of the Times, Only by the Night, Come Around Sundown. A Remix album is in the works with contributions being credited by Justin Timberlake, Lykke Li, Kenna, and a handful of others. They often tour with the most recent in Bristow, Virginia.
