A product of the new internet generation, Justin Bieber is a Canadian born pop idol in the United States. His professional career began at the age of 13 when Scooter Braun happened upon one of Bieber’s videos on YouTube. He immediately tracked the boy down and had he and his mother flown to Atlanta, Georgia to record demos. During this time, he wanted to bulk up Bieber’s image and asked him to continue releasing videos on YouTube using ordinary cameras. Now sixteen, the singer has released one album and is working on his second with a lot of support from his label. Justin Bieber is a teen heartthrob and has worked in collaboration with multiple rappers and R&B singers. Ludacris and Usher have both been heard on the same songs with Bieber and given the surge of popularity, Usher’s former coworkers and employees have been re-allocated to help Bieber deal with the instant stardom he has been subjected to. His first album, My World released after his first single “One Time” was released to radio and the album was eventually rated platinum in the United States. He is actively working on his next album, and currently touring to promote both his first album and the upcoming My World 2.0.
