Nick Cannon, former actor on the sketch comedy show All That, has recently indulged a music career in hip hop. His debut album released in 2003 and achieved a hit single, “Gigolo,” which was done in
collaboration with the popular R&B singer, R. Kelly. Three years later, he recorded “Dime Piece” and “My Wife.” They were intended to be part of a second album, but the album has been officially shelved for
now with no known release date in the near future. Cannon is much more commonly associated with his established acting career, and now his new position as creative director for Nickelodeon Studios and Chairman
of TeenNick. He also has his own radio show in New York that began in January of 2010. Of his acting career, it dates back to his stint on All That in 1998 to 2000, and marked a long and stable association with
Nickelodeon Studios. So far, he has hosted or acted in Kenan & Kel, The Parkers, Taina, The Nick Cannon Show, Chappelle’s Show, Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out, Nick Cannon Presents: Short Circuitz, America’s
Got Talent, TeenNick, and The Nightlife on television. His film career has seen him on or in production of the screen at least once every year since the turn of the century except 2001, starting with Whatever It
Takes in 2000, then Men in Black II, Drumline, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, Garfield: The Movie, Shall We Dance? Underclassman, Roll Bounce, The Adventures of Brer Rabbit, Even Money, Monster House, Bobby, Goal! 2:
