 The
Price is Right LIVE Show in Las Vegas Nevada is held in the
Bally’s Jubilee theater and is much like the real televised
show except for a few thing that are different such as the
contestants are chosen randomly without being screened,
audience members that are 21 and over can sip on cocktails
throughout the 105 minute show, and the Las Vegas Live show
is not televised for real. The comedian Drew Carey has taken
Bob Barker’s spot on the real televised but on the live
stage show Todd Newton is the one who hosts the show. The
announcer is Randy West from Supermarket Sweep and there are
two models on the show as well.
Audience members who want to come to the show and be able to
play, they must be at least 21 years of age. Anyone under 21
years of age can come to watch the show only. There is a
registration booth across from the theater for people who
want to play and it is open up to three hours before the
show starts. Each registered person will receive a yellow
price name tag and a chance to play the game and win a ton
of valuable prizes from baggage to a brand new car. There
are about fifty audience members that will get to
participate in each show to win cash and prizes such as
jewelry, appliances, and vacation packages. There are four
new people for each round that are called to “come on down”
and bid on the prize for a chance to be on stage. Some of
the games played are the famous Plinko, Cliffhangers, Hole
in One, or Its in the Bag. You can’t forget the Big Wheel
that has flashing lights all around it and is surrounded by
models. This is spun at the halfway mark of the show and
three of the contestants get to spin it for the final round
of the show.
Keep in mind the show is not televised but there is a camera
man on stage and big screens hanging so people in the
audience from all angles can still see the stage and what’s
going on every second of the way. It is said that some of
the contestants are very hard core with shirts and signs
just as in the real television show. While in the real
television show the bloopers are cut out, Todd Newton and
the audience create their own bloopers. Newton keeps the
attention of the audience and keeps them entertained with
his interaction with them which creates many memorable
moments. The excitement of the show is known to be
infectious and many people root for contestants they have
never met before. This is an unforgettable show for the
whole family to enjoy and shout and holler.
