Penn
and Teller is an amazing magic show, you won’t believe your
eyes. Penn and Teller say there are some basic rules to
magic, never tell your audience how the magic trick is done.
The magician also never shows the audience the preparation
for any magic trick. And last but not least, never ever do
the cups and balls trick with clear or transparent cups.
Penn and Teller, however, do not follow these rules. They
tend to break them along with a ton of other tricks in their
show that’s held at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
Penn and Teller’s magic show isn’t like any other magic show
out there. Their show is very edgy and a different kind of
magic show. Penn is a very tall and slender, he is the
narrator of the show which gives him the option to put a
comedic commentary on everything they do in the show. Teller
is the one that provides the show with all the action but
doesn’t say one word the whole time. The two reveal some of
their magic tricks to the audience but other tricks they
will amaze the audience. The cups and balls trick is done
with transparent cups when Penn and Teller do it which lets
the audience see how it is done. Well not exactly, they do
the trick so quickly that the audience can’t really see what
is going on and how its happening.
This show depends mostly on the audience interaction. There
are several audience members that are chose to go up on
stage and participate in a trick or just confirm how true
some of the tricks are. Some of the tricks are even played
on the audience member, such as the one to where the
audience member is blindfolded as Penn pretends to throw
knives at her. She is then tricked into thinking she is
throwing knives at Penn, still blindfolded. Penn and
Teller’s show is always changing and turning into so much
more due to adding tricks and comedy. Each night is a
different experience, this is a show the whole family
doesn’t want to miss when visiting Las Vegas.
