 Louie
Anderson is considered a real treat to Las Vegas when it
comes to seeing a comedians show. This comedy show is very
different from any other comedy show in Las Vegas. Unlike
all the other shows, Anderson’s show makes you feel very
comfortable and relaxed. It’s a much laid back environment
and he makes you feel like you were invited for a friendly
evening in his living room to talk about his childhood and
many other things as well.
Anderson tells a lot of jokes based on his experiences
growing up in the Midwest with a crazy family. He also likes
to tell stories about his mom and dad’s parenting skills
which always gets to the audience. Anderson is just one of
eleven children in his family so he has plenty of material
to draw from on that subject. A few things that he likes to
mention is how his dad would take trips to the dump to
“Shop” and his mom was a bit of a kleptomaniac when she
would take things from restaurants such as creamer or butter
for their home. He also talks about his own struggles in
life but tells them in a sarcastic but funny tone, such as
his struggle with his weight, smoking, and growing older. He
tells things like this because he knows they are subjects
other people can relate to and this gives them a way to
laugh at the issue. Anderson also likes to use the audience
and their lives with finding ways to incorporate that into
his own storytelling which ensures that every show is
different. Along with being a stand up comic, Anderson also
had a few television shows out there such as hosting “Family
Feud” and had his own show called “Life with Louie.” He is
now all about his comedy show with even dipping into a
little bit of adult conversations. Anderson has about three
decades of experience with his career, therefore its not so
much a routine but like spending the evening with a funny
friend.
