The Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino sits on more than 38 acres of land in the Northwestern part of Las Vegas which is just minutes from the famous Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon and Mt.
Charleston. The gaming, entertainment and hotel, Santa Fe Station, is more than 463,000 square feet. Then there is over 14,000 square feet of meeting space, 200 hotel rooms and named “Best Locals
Hotel” by the Las Vegas Review Journal in the year 2008.
In 2006 the hotel opened an expansion to the hotel which included a new state of the art race and sports book, Feast Buffet, Turf Grill,
400 additional slot and video poker machines and even more meeting and convention space. There is also a new high limit area, 14 table poker room and table game area. The Tides Oyster Bar and
4949 Lounge are new along with a new center bar.
The amenities included for the hotel are hair dryers, pillow top bedding, built in data ports, dry cleaning services, smoke shop, bowling center,
kids quest, arcade, Century Theaters, Chrome Showroom, Concert and shows, and much more. The casino includes 2,900 slot machines and video poker machines, 39 table games, a 488 seat bingo hall,
keno, race and sports book and a poker room. This is known to be a place for locals so it is a great place to get away from the tourist crowd and the casino is said to be good luck and very
cheap.
Chrome is part of the entertainment which includes the hotels showroom and nightclub along with Wednesday Night Blues and the Prince Tribute Show, Purple Reign which is held every Friday
and Saturday night. The 16 screen movie theater and 60 lane bowling center is very popular in the hotel for families. The outdoor swimming pool is not very big but very quaint and cozy for a
quick dip and cools you off from the heat.
