Most everyone that goes on a vacation to Las Vegas is
looking for the same thing, that is a bit of excitement, and that is definitely what you will find with a trip to
Las Vegas. They certainly do not call Vegas the biggest
little city in the world because of the lack of excitement.
Sure, the casinos and shows are fun and exciting, and there
are plenty to choose from once you are there, but there is
an attraction on the strip in Las Vegas that will blow you
away. One trip to the top of the Stratosphere and you will
be face to face with the adrenaline pumping Big Shot.
The Big Shot is located on one of the staples of the Vegas
sky line, The Stratosphere Hotel. It is a whopping 921 feet
high, not to mention the additional 160 feet that is the
attraction itself. If you are a thrill seeker and you are
looking for something that will get your heart pumping and
your adrenaline running, than this is definitely a ride you
have to go on when you are in Vegas. So, take a ride to the
top of the highest building this side of the Mississippi,
step on up to the tower and get ready to go on the ride of
your life.
When you get to the entrance of the Big Shot, you will be
directed to your seat, but make sure this is what you want
to do because there is no turning back once the attendants
strap you into your seat. Once you are all buckled in, you
will notice that the floor, or lack there off, will soon
disappear and your feet will be left dangling just above the
roof of the Stratosphere. The countdown will start shortly
after all of the other thrill seekers are strapped into
their seats. Be sure to keep your eyes open, though, be the
views are to die for.
When all is said and done and the attendants give the good
to go, you will immediately be shot into the wild blue
yonder, accelerating to 45 miles per hour in just 2.5
seconds. Going that fast, vertically, you will soon hit 4
G’s as you make your way to the top of the tower. When you
get there, you will find that the seats hand there for a
second, giving you the amazing feeling of being weightless,
weightless at over 1000 feet in the air. You will do that
two more times before the rush is over.
Congratulations, you have made it; you have survived the Big
Shot. This is certainly a must do attraction while you are
staying in the greater Las Vegas area. However, beware, this
is not for the faint of heart, but if you are an adventure
seeker, than this is for you. Make sure you visit the
Stratosphere Hotel and the Big Shot the next time that you
decide to make Las Vegas your next destination choice.
