MANTA: Ride the Flying Ray
Roller Coaster
- Manta is Sea World's latest and greatest roller coaster.
The total height of this ride is 140 feet off of the ground,
the first loop which occurs seconds after takeoff peaks at
113 feet and then you soar off and begin to twist, turn, and
become tossed around on the 3,359 foot track, but those
numbers won’t mean anything when you're soaring at
56 miles-per-hour.

"Shamu's Adventure breaks every mindset
about the life of a killer whale" - To
everyone's surprise this was an extremely
soaking show, especially the first 14 rows
of seats next to the pool. Good trainers and
smart orcas combined with a well
choreographed performance make a successful
show. Most people don't know that
Sea World is one of the largest breeders in
the world. Already 4 killer whales have been
successfully raised at SeaWorld parks in
Orlando, Fl. Shamu now has another friend
named Kalina, a 7 foot-long, 350 pound
newborn on February 9, 2004. Hosting the
shows is world renown animal expert, Jack
Hann. He helps bring out the very best
performance in Shamu. As the show got
underway we were able to witness first hand
the magnificent beauty of the park's biggest
star Shamu. I have never witnessed such
awesome power from animals that weigh as
much as 6000 pounds. The show continued to
build until there was a news broadcast that
the "Hurricane Shamu" was ready to make
landfall. Suddenly, the orcas began racing
around the pool, creating large waves that
soaked everything within 14 feet of the
waters edge. There was also a "Shamu
Underwater Viewing" exhibit that allow you
to view the breeding programs for the killer
whale. All I can say is that I had a "whale"
of a good time at SeaWorld.

 "Mistify is an awesome laser/fireworks
display of an underwater adventure." - I
really did not know what to expect when the
show began. But I was mildly surprise to see
such a wonderful nighttime display of
lights. Mistify brings to life the
underwater sea world like no other and
immerses the audience in an underwater
adventure that encompasses both the sky and
sea. Center stage consists of Sea World's
main lake waterfront harbor. where 60 foot
mist screens display the large-than-life
marine creatures with 100 foot fountains and
flames. The story line began through the
eyes of a small child on a underwater
adventure to find the killer whale Shamu.
During the adventure, we found ourselves
only 50 feet from fountains, flames and
bursting fireworks soaring against a
backdrop of stars as it conveys the
incredible power and beauty of an underwater
wonderland. Truly it was a wonderful
experience for people both young and young
at heart. The finale painted a broad picture
of the history of SeaWorld. The show could
also be seen from the Mediterranean
restaurants and shops which provide an
outdoor lakeside seating also offer dramatic
views of the stirring show under the stars.
