Everybody remembers the spinach-eating sailor man’s adventures. Now you have the chance to become part of one as you join him for a trip on his new cruise line. You can find Popeye’s Bilge Rat Barges on Toon Lagoon in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. This wondrously wet escapade will leave you soaked to the bone in excitement.

            As you’ll learn as you wait for your turn on the ride, Popeye is starting a new cruise line. Unfortunately, Bluto has overrun his business and guests are forced to use his rafts that aren’t quite up to par. There are plenty of comical things to do and read in your wait in your queue. After a short trip through the line, you’ll see the rotating docking station where you’ll hop on your raft. Place your belongings in the waterproof holder in the center and get ready for a soggy journey.

You start off with a bang as you pass down a careening river. You’ll hit a few whitewater areas where your boat will get soaked! After passing under a few waterfalls and through a cave where you’ll see Olive being captured by Bluto, you’ll get caught on an uphill conveyor belt. The as you reach the end, there is a drop that will lead you into a wave that will drench everyone on the raft.
