"Cypress Garden's On Ice features truly talented ice
skaters" - Normally, ice skating is not on the top
of the list while we are on vacation. However, this
was a wonderful experience in the Royal Palm
Theater. The theatre has a dazzling cast of talented
ice skaters including a variety of ice dancing
numbers. We saw various maneuvers such as spiraling
twirls, fancy footwork, bold leaps and daring lifts.
Each choreography was accompanied by a stirring
composition enhanced by enchanting costumes. It was
well worth the time and money to see such a high
performance show at Cypress Gardens.

"Cypress Garden's Animal Parks are fun for the whole
family" - The park was divided up between Nature's
Way and a lush Aviary. We were able to get up real
close to these furry critter friends. Nature's Way
is home to more than 300 furry, feathered and scaly
animals. According to Cypress Garden's caretakers,
Nature's Way features the alligator that starred
with Tarzan (Johnny Weissmueller), a beautiful
jaguar and Nile crocodile. We were amazed to see
dozens of Lorries and other birds flying
feely around the park. We watched in a amazement as
guests held out cups of nectar as these beautiful
birds actually landed in their hand to feed. If you
you like butterflies, you'll like the Wings of
Wonder where thousands of butter flies flutter
through the air of the arboretum.

"The Gardens are recognized around the world as a
landmark of grace and beauty" - I was amazed to hear
that this beautiful garden was built upon a the
Cypress swamp about 70 years ago. Little did the
creator Dr. Pope realize while carving the garden
out of a swamp that he was creating one of the most
beautiful gardens in the world! Breathtaking views
of native and exotic plant species thrive in these
gardens. We saw a huge bed of brightly colored
annuals covering a emerald green lawn, near the
old famed gazebo which still stands, it was
phenomenal! Amongst the gardens featured was the
Topiary Trail with a beautiful landscape of
precisely-trimmed flowers and greenery pruned into
interesting shapes. Its sparkling waters provided a
gorgeous backdrop for a photo stop.
