"CityWalk is a night of entertainment and dining" - Universal acclaims Citywalk as being the hottest spot for entertainment and dining. It also relatively compares to Disney's downtown in terms of venue, live music, casual and fine dining, dancing, shopping, movies just to mention a few. Spending the day in Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure requires a trip through CityWalk first. CityWalk is situated in front of a lakefront with HardRock cafe for a backdrop. The day we went to CityWalk is was popular and crowded. I would say that CityWalk's theme is targeted for an adult crowd. As such, an adult guest may find venues like the Hard Rock cafe, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Key West-style bar and restaurant, NASCAR stock car racing theme Cafe, Emeril's Orlando, Professional Basketball theme restaurant bar and much more.  Motown Cafe pays great tributes to the soul music of the 70's. Reggae lovers should pay a visit to Bob Marley, a large Latin Quarter club in addition to a few specialty shops as well.

"CityWalk is a great place for couples" -  Citywalk is nestled between Universal's  parking garages and the theme parks. There is a water taxi service on an artificial river that carries guests to Universal onsite hotels. Citywalk stores and restaurants begin opening about 11:00AM. Some guest from the theme parks may get their hands stamped to have lunch at CityWalk. But CityWalk truly comes alive at 9:00pm when the clubs start warming up to receive their guests. Both the Groove and CityJazz open their doors to club goers about this time. CityWalk actually is a two-story area with one strip sloping up to connect a new bridge between Decades Cafe and Universal Cineplex. NASCAR Cafe exists on this level and usually opens at 8:00 AM while the restaurant opens at 11:00AM. American selection of foods are available ranging from steaks, hamburgers and bareques. Next is the Decades Cafe featuring  All American menu, and 40 years of memorabilia. Bob Marley's is also on the second level featuring full Caribbean cuisine service in a Marley's Jamaican home theme. Next door to Marley's you can find Pat O'Brien's another dinner entertainment venue. This is a replica of the New Orleans restaurant featuring three different bar and patio areas, the most popular being the piano bar which has dual pianists nightly. If none of those interest you try the Groove, a next generation dance club, state of the art in design. Featuring three themed lounges the Blue, Red, and Green in a multi-storied dance club atmosphere. Action begins about 11:00 pm, doors open at 9:00pm and you must be 21 years and older.
